Brevard Zoo Trip

Grandma Lin went to Brevard Zoo with Johnmark, Cathy, Cate, Eve, and Jonah.

I enjoyed the animals of the zoo as well as the little ones that came with us.

Getting to the zoo around 11:30, we started with lunch.

We observed a variety of animals, including a giraffe in "time out" as he had run off the other giraffes from the viewers stand. He received NO pats or snacks!

These a just a few of the pictures taken there. Do you see the baby birds in the water? Can you see the rhino's head? The baby "pig" was left alone by his mom for a few moments. I did not have my camera with me to get pictures of the lorakeets. (I still do not know how to spell this word.)

With two are
as left to explore,

We had a rest stop with snacks -
ice cream for Jonah, Eve and Cate!

The children could not
make up their minds as to which way to go, so they were corralled again.

Short naps did occur for the children but basically they kept us entertained throughout the day's outing.

They are very happy children full of laughs, funny noises, singing "A, B,.." and words in the making.

When Mom and Dad are ready to go again, I hope to be included.

New York Visit

Grandma Lin got to visit Andrew, Kristin and Elisa in NY state for a few days.
I enjoyed the cooler weather (cold to me) and a few colored leaves left on the trees in some areas. I saw snow in the air, frozen water in the bird bath and heavy frost on the fields. While Kristin was busy with some school obligations, I was privileged to care for Elisa. She is a sweet little girl, who smiles and makes little sounds that endear
her to a Grandma's heart.

A day with Joseph (Joey)

Joey and Lady became good friends. They would play chase each taking turns being the chased. They would play hide and seek. Usually Lady doing the hiding. There was some kind of flailing of arms and legs with Lady ducking in and out of the motions. Moments of sitting together and also the times when Joey just picked up Lady and took her where he wanted her to go.

While Mom (Grace), Grandpa John and the three older brothers went to the Space Center one day, Joey and I played at home. The following pictures speak for themselves.

AS the day drew to a close, Joey started winding down with some Veggie Tales.

He fell asleep on my bed and I called it a day.

John's Scooter

John drives a total of 100 miles a day to and from work. So in order to save on fuel, we ventured into the scooter world. We watch the weather reports daily and then pray they are accurate for his trips. Living where we do, the humidity index comes into play also. No sense getting ill just to save some money. So our Kia still gets a work out weekly. Just a couple dark pictures to share now but hope to add some in the future.
I have entered the scooter world of a difference genre`. I have been given an used electric scooter for the short distances to the grocery or post office. It is similar to the one I rode at Bok Towers. So no pictures for here.
We have already learned that John can go do an errand or two and circle extra blocks on his scooter while I am still in transit to the grocery. John's slowest speed in still faster than my fastest speed, so no outings together on our scooters.

Joshua's Visit

Joshua came to visit for a couple of weeks.
The slide show is not in proper sequence but it shows:
  • Time Capsule deposit.
  • Laying of tile after smoothing out an area
    • where the old and new rooms met.
  • Spa time after all that labor.
  • Watching a shuttle launch and a shuttle landing on TV
    • while Grandpa John was actually there.
  • Playing Wii - Thanks to Uncle Johnmark.
  • Having time with the babies - three.
I had to share Joshua at times so:
Joshua got time with Grandpa Al,
Great Uncle David and Aunt Hope,
Great Grandma Heinig, "Grandma Jan"
and his Carraway church family.

Bok Tower, FL

Our trip to Bok Tower in Florida was on a beautiful clear day,
not too hot or too cold. As you can see I rode along the grounds.

There were many beautiful plants in bloom in the various
garden spots.

We loved the pool area with its reflections.
We sat in a peaceful spot and watched the monitor of the concert.
The balcony you see in one picture is at the level the
keyboards and pedals are played, with the bells above them.

We got to meet the player, but I am afraid I have
a "senior moment" in regards to his name. I do remember
he has played at Alfred University, Alfred NY.

It was a joy to spend the day together in such a lovely spot.

Our Little Lady

We greatly enjoy our little Lady. We got her at eight weeks.weighing 2.5 pounds.
She i
s now eighteen weeks and weighs 4 pounds.

Peek a boo and nap time are frequent for Lady.

Lady is not sure of the babies but all three want to touch her.

Lady and the mop is one of our games.

Watching TV with Grandpa in the evening is a must. Teething on Grandma's toe came to an abrupt end.

Fun in the yard is an everyday adventure.
