Women's Retreat

Well, I need lessons, the pictures are backwards to happenings and somewhat confusing. I am sorry. Maybe someone out there can counsel me.

Monday, the 25th of June found eleven women traveling in three cars to Fort Lauderdale. We were embarking on a Women's Retreat aboard the Bahama Celebration for two nights and "three days".
We found the process a little tedious but eventually all eleven of us made it through customs then began the search and find part - our cabins were on three different levels. Marie Ward had booked one suite to be used by two as well as the meeting room for our sessions. It was on level 7 with the dining rooms on level 5 and the other cabins spread from level 3 through 6. Some of the cabins were very tiny with others getting larger up to the nice sized suite. The cost for this retreat was minimal, as to why we decided to try this venue. I got by with $90.

Attached are a few pictures from the trip thanks to Susan Bond. You will see boarding process, meals, Bible study and worship in the suite, sunset, fun times, small group times, time at Mary Jane McPherson's home for our last study time ,worship with a well presented dance and meal as well as a picture of the storm that we traveled through coming home on Wednesday

Although this venue was different I found it to be a blessing in so many ways. I had time with members of my church that I do not usually get. We were able to share experiences that lifted each other up to the Lord. There were opportunities to participate in the activities offered on board as well as venturing onto shore at Nassau. We also could find spots for reflections on God's word and way for our lives. It is amazing how water - lots of water- can calm the soul; as well as stir up the emotions with the wind and waves.

God was all around and within us at all times!

Attendees were: Marie Ward - Director; Kay and Shauna Wilks, Leora Pinder, Joanne McCall, Shelley and Harriet Hill, Jan Graffius - travel coordinator; Trish Boyd, Susan Bond, and myself.

Looks like it was a lot of faun for all of you. I'm glad you were able to "get out of town" for a little while Mom.

Ok so how can I get invited to one of these "out of town" retreats? That looked like a ton of fun.
